Today I am going to tell my story about my last holiday. My holiday
was at Bali. For the first paragraph, I just want to say BIG THANKS TO MATANA
UNIVERSITY, especially my lectures that allowed me to take an internship at
Bali. I can not believe that could live there for around 6 months, not only
days, but months. Bali is like paradise for me. I like to go beaches at ITDC
area (Mengiat beach), Pandawa Beach, just for enjoying panoramic there, eat
some seafood there, and drunk coconut.
I have many friends there that I got from my church. They are
very kind, humble, faithful, and they have big sense of humors, make me laugh
everyday, even they are apart like now. We went to many places there but not
much, just at the weekend.
In weekdays, usually we just share food and chill at the
beach, while talk about business that we will grow together. What kind of business
will I grow up? I will open like woman cloth store, basically in virtual area
(website, instagram) and send for worldwide. Actually, I just take the clothes
from store, then we mark up the price, I can call it a dropship way. I choose
dropship to sell cloth, because I do not have to stock the clothes, either just
upload the image, tell about the details and upload to our social media, also
our website. I have already started our business, but not officially opened
yet. I am still searching for the best price store with good quality cloth. For
the next step, I just want to make an advertise, by Line official Account,
Instagram, friends, many more.
The next activity that I do at Bali, I just go to church,
make some church services every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday. On Sunday, like
usual, we pray and go to church. Wednesday, we have pray community that deepen
the story of holy bible and on Friday, we have little community of Messianic. We
shared story, we shared our daily life, problems, and we try to pray for it and
give them a solution. For me, it is developing myself to know who is God more,
and also give me good experience to always give love to everything we do, to
everyone, that is why I do not want to leave them so fast.
What I love in Bali, I love the cultures, I love the
differences. The way they respect other ‘life’ (their gods). Also, the most is I
love the people there. From a platter of fritters to personal life stories,
Balinese people make a relationship with others by sharing. Sometimes they may come out as
inquisitive, asking strangers about marital status or hometowns, but they are
genuinely interested in your stories and would not mind sharing their own with
you. In the right circumstances, that may add up to a profound exchange and
maybe a long-term friendship.
They are very respect for the diversity that I difficult to
find at my hometown. It is hard to be judgmental when you are that exposed to
differences and diversity, be it in culture, religion, customs, even opinions.
Indonesia is home to hundreds of different localities and ethnicities, and
Balinese people are used to hanging out and making friends with people of different
colors, religions, and views and that includes foreign tourists. You do not
even have to fit in to be accepted. As long as you respect each other, do not
worry, you are in.
Thank you for reading. Have a good day!
